Austin, Linda Faye Stoots

Linda Faye Stoots Austin, 68, of Pearisburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was born on May 8, 1943, in Wythe County, daughter of the late J. Elirce and Roxie Edmonds Stoots. She was preceded in death by a brother, Reverend Duane Stoots. She was a member of River of Life Ministries. Linda was loved by all and will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry James Austin; her son, Rodrick A. Austin; her daughter, Lorrie A. Mitchell, all of Pearisburg; three grandchildren, Jillian, Brianne and Hannah; two greatgrandsons, Isaiah and Anthony; daughter-in-law, Janet Austin, of Fayetteville, N.C.; son-in-law, Kent Mitchell, of Dublin,; sister, Luvern Riggins, of Sanford, N.C.; two brothers, Billy Stoots and Kyle Stoots both, of Wytheville; special friend, Holly Howard, of Narrows. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at River of Life Ministries, Poplar Camp, Va. with the Reverend R.J. Reynolds, the Reverend Gary Vernon and the Reverend Samuel Hall officiating. A graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. at Birch Lawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
