Johnson, Barbara Lynn

Barbara Lynn Johnson, 55, of Pembroke, went to be with the Lord surrounded by the love and care of her family on Monday, July 18, 2011, at Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Christiansburg on October 24, 1955, she was a daughter of Dorothy H. Price and the late William C. Price. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Connie Athey; and her mother and father-in-law, Shirley M. and Charlie Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory, the love of her life, all of her life, her husband, Charles Bill Johnson Jr.; her daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Jay Albert, of Dublin, and Marlena and Jason Clark, of Pearisburg; her grandsons, Derek Cox and Shane Clark; her granddaughter, Amanda Singer, who were the greatest joys of her life; her mother, Dorothy Hutchison Price; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Kay Price, Joey and Kathy Price, H.C. and Cheryl Price, Davy and Debbie Price, and Tim Price; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy Poff, Pam and Randy Bryant, and Tammy and W.A. Hudson; many nieces, nephews and special friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, in Riverview Baptist Church at Ripplemead with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery in Craig County. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday evening, July 19, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
