DeVilbiss, Virginia Gauldin

Virginia Gauldin DeVilbiss, 90, of Radford, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011. She was born on March 27, 1921 in Roanoke to the late John and Malia Gauldin. She retired from DeVilbiss Funeral Home in 1984 and was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Radford. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. DeVilbiss; and a son, Richard E. (Dickey) DeVilbiss. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Gail DeVilbiss of Radford; sister, Ethel Carwile of Roanoke; and three grandchildren, Victoria, John, and David DeVilbiss of Radford. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from noon until 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. Paul Lane officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to Radford Fire Department, 1500 Wadsworth Street, Radford, VA 24141, or First Baptist Church of Radford, 215 Third Avenue, Radford, VA 24141.
