Haga, Hurley Junior
Hurley Junior Haga, 66, of Riner, formerly of the Little Creek Community, Dublin, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at New River Valley Medical Center. He was born June 23, 1944 at Pulaski, the son of the late Andrew Hurley and Lakie Abegail French Haga. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Hurley was a member of the Light House Family Ministry and a retired employee of Bland Correctional Center. He was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Anna Lea Haga, Riner; one son, Andrew Willard Haga, Dublin; one daughter, Terry Ann Haga, Houston, Texas; one stepson, the Rev. Tracy (Wendy) Shively, Riner; one stepdaughter, Kimberly Shively, Christiansburg; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Lois) Haga, Dublin; six sisters, Ruth Brewer, Seven Hills, Ohio, Alean Myers, Cleveland, Ohio, Louise Stafford, Reidsville, N.C., Linda Boswell, Cleveland, Ohio, Virginia Haga, Floyd, Geneva Hurst, Newberry, Fla. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the French’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Wendy Shively and the Rev. Dennis Haga officiating. Burial in the Appalachian Conference Pentecostal Holiness Cemetery, Dublin. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at French’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
