Dulaney, Russell

Russell Dulaney, of Radford, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. He was the son of the late Bill and Rosa Dulaney. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Revvie and Zaynel Dulaney. He graduated from Radford High School and proudly served his country during World War II in the 85th combat Eng. and the Korean War in the 2nd Infantry combat Eng. He was a Member of St. Judes Catholic Church of Radford and VFW Post #776. He is survived by his wife, Glada Dickerson Dulaney; god-daughter, Dr. Liberty Hall and her husband, Dr. Randy Hall, of Decatur, Ga.; brotherin-law, Hayden Dickerson, of Radford; sister-in-law, Goldie Dickerson, of Roanoke; and very special people in his life, the Boor family. Mrs. Dulaney would like to extend special thanks to his loving and compassionate care givers, David Gautier, Kim Hare, Judy Flinchum, Sue Shrewsberry and Brenda Dean. In accordance with his wishes there will be no services. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis TN 38105-9959.
