McMillian, Allyne P.

Allyne P. McMillian, 89, of Galax, died January 7, 2014. Surviving, six daughters and spouses, Sonya and Ronald Cox of Martinsville, VA, Dayle and Davis McKinney, Peggy McMillian, Sue and Willie Greene, Sr., Debra and Franklin Slater and Pafalene and Wilbert Chandler all of Galax, VA; one son. Ervin Phipps of Washington, DC; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Goosby of Trenton, NJ; one brother, James Phipps of Turlock, Calif; three sisters-in-law, Evon Lewis of Floyd, VA, Arretta Garrett of Sugar Grove, VA and Margarette Valentine of Independence, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral will be held at 2;00 P.M. Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Gospel Temple Church, (Klondike Road) in Independence, VA. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 6-8 P.M.
