Surratt, Chester D. (Chet)

Chester Darrell “Chet” Surratt, age 82 of Pulaski passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the Lewis Gale-Pulaski Hospital. Born May 13, 1928 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late William Allen Surratt & Canary Merril Montgomery Surratt. One brother; Kyle Surratt also preceded him in death. He and his wife owned and operated C & A Cleaning Service for 29 years. He is survived by his Wife of 61 years- Violet Ann Walls Surratt – Pulaski, Sons- George Allen & wife, Barbara Gail Surratt – Galax, Paul Kevin Surratt – Pulaski, 4 Grandchildren- David Allen Surratt,Jason Paul Surratt,Paul Kevin Surratt, II & Phillip Young. Brother- Conrad Lee Surratt – Pulaski. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski with the Rev. Carson Linkous officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at the Surratt Family Cemetery, Carroll County on Friday.
