Nolen, Sylvia C.

Sylvia C. (Juanita) Nolen, 83, of Christiansburg, passed away at her home with her family by her side on April 6, 2011. She was a dedicated homemaker, member of the Belmont Christian Church and the Belmont community for over 50 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Georgia Carden; and her husband, Harry E. Nolen. She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Ronnie and Pat Nolen, of Perry, Ga., Phillip and Lori Nolen, of Christiansburg; daughters, Barbara Nolen, of Christiansburg and Rita and husband, David Winger, of Fredricksburg; grandchildren, Kastina Rowell, Chris Winger, Jessica Malone, Barrett Nolen, Greg Winger, Emily Nolen and Maggie Nolen; three greatgrandchildren; and sister, Geneva Akers, of Belspring. The Nolen family will receive family and friends on Friday, April 8, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Belmont Christian Church, Christiansburg, with Minister Jerry Dowdy officiating.
