Coe, Henry Edward

Henry Edward Coe, 83, of Pulaski, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2011, in the Highland Ridge Rehab Center, Dublin. Born in Smyth County on August 8, 1927, he was the son of the late Walter and Alice Harris Coe. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Sylvia Kirtner Coe. He was a veteran of the Army and a member of VFW Post 776 for over 50 years. Surviving are his daughters and son-in-law, Wanda Walters and Johnny Weis, and Threasa and Kurt Copeland; grandchildren, Eddie Coe and Evelyn, Todd Walters and Michelle Atsatt, Amy and David Macias, Eugene Copeland and Cindi, and Holly Copeland; greatgrandchildren, Erycka Macias, Emilee Macias, Rozalind Copeland and Austin Coe; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Anderson, Rudy McPeak, Ella Mae Goad, and Effie Hollins. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2011, from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Hanks officiating. Burial will follow in the Newbern Cemetery with VFW Post 776 conducting Military Graveside Rites.
