Griggs, Helen Marie

Helen Marie Griggs, 59, of Elliston, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at Richfield Recovery and Care. She was born in Montgomery County on November 22, 1951, to the late Everett Roscoe and Elizabeth Allen Davis. She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Griggs, Sr., of Elliston; son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie “Gene” and Melissa Griggs, Jr., of Elliston; granddaughter, Elizabeth Griggs; sisters, Wanda Hopkins, of Christiansburg, Thelma Griggs, of Elliston; brothers and sister-in-law, Delvis and Dianna Davis, of Christiansburg, David Davis, of Elliston. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Hall’s United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Akers and the Rev. Ralph Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Halls Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
