Jackson, Lloyd Bailey

Lloyd Bailey “Peanut” Jackson, age 85, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at his home. Born December 31, 1933, in Peterstown, WV, he was the son of the late Harry Paul Sr. and Dorothy Lucille Mann Jackson.

Lloyd was a founding member of the Bozoo Ruritan Club and a deacon and member of the Bozoo Christian Church. He worked as an operator and unit supervisor for Appalachian Power for over 40 years. Also, he enjoyed his work as a farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Ann Keatley Jackson; infant son, David Paul Jackson; two sisters, Bernice Skelton and Edna Wills; and one brother, Harry Paul “Bud” Jackson. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Stover Crawford Jackson; two sons, Timothy Lee Jackson and wife Kathy of Princeton, WV, and Jim Jackson and wife Tina of Bozoo, WV; two daughters, Tammy Johnston and husband Gordon of Stuarts Draft, VA, and Pam Weiss and husband Kevin of Oakvale, WV; one step-son, Donnie Crawford and wife Kelly of Bozoo, WV; two brothers, Eldie Jackson and wife Doris, and Donald “Don” Jackson and wife Donna, all of Bozoo, WV; two sisters, Annie Thompson and husband Don of Rich Creek, VA, and Judy Gardner and husband Lou of Narrows, VA; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Barry Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Peterstown Cemetery in Rich Creek, VA. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home. Benny Skelton, Terry Wills, Steve Jackson, Troy Jackson, Glenn Gardner, Gary Thompson, and Travis Jackson will serve as pallbearers, and Andy Wills will serve as honorary pallbearer.
