Puckett, Joseph Euell (Buddy)

Joseph Euell (Buddy) Puckett, 73 years old, of Max Creek, went home to be with his Lord and Savior early Monday morning at his home surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was a caring and loving husband and father who loved the simplicity of his life and home. Joseph is survived by his wife of 41 years, Beverly Cress Puckett and their son, Joseph Dallas Puckett and wife, Jennifer Snider Puckett, of the homeplace on Max Creek. Also surviving was friend and previous spouse, Carolyn H. Puckett and their children, Timmy Puckett and wife, Debbie Puckett, of Dublin, Les Puckett and wife, Donna Cook Puckett, of Max Meadows, Marie Rene Garcia and husband, Manuel, of Charlotte, N.C., and Jay T. Puckett and wife, Rosie V. Puckett, of Pulaski. Joseph had five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Joseph is also survived by brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Puckett; and sister, Nora Belle Puckett Owens. Joseph was preceded in death by both of his parents, John and Josie Puckett; his sister, Marie Puckett; and two brothers, John W. Puckett and Ralph A. Puckett. The family would like to thank special friends, Alfred Quesenberry for all of his love and support and Rhonda Meadows for all of her care, nursing skills, and family support, and Grace Fellowship Baptist for all of their support and prayers. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 7 p.m. at the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Max Creek with the Rev. Doug Ballew officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
