King, Joseph Conway

Joseph Conway King, 74, peacefully went to his heavenly home Saturday, March 12, 2011. Born October 12, 1936, in Pulaski he was the son of the late Jessie McKinley King and Minnie Lee LaPrade King. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Rosenbaum; brother, Charlie King; and sisters, Mozelle King and Estelle King Slaughter. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Ann Folden King, of Pulaski; daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann King Peck and husband, James, of Pulaski; Teresa Ann King , of Pulaski; Gayle Lee King Shortt and husband, David, of Dublin; grandchildren, Jessica Peck and Jake Thompson, Lori Shortt and fiancé, John Saul Stephanie Rosenbaum Kesling and Mikey; great-granddaughter, Alyssa (Squeaky) Collins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Shirley King, of Alexandria, Doug King, of Jacksonville, Fla., Kenneth and Shirley King, of Dublin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Effie David, of Bristol, Pa., Joyce and Lewis O’baugh, of Alexandria, Linda and Junior Rouse, of Glade Springs. Celebration service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011, at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with GE Stike officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, march 15, 2011, at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Monday night from 5 p.m. until service time at the Chapel.
