I knew Wilna through friendship with her husband, William “Bill” Lindsey. Bill and I were best friends from 1947-1956. We were neighbors (Midway, between Rich Creek, Virginia and Peterstown, WV) and attended Rich Creek Elementary and then Narrows High for grades 8-12. I graduated in June 1956 and entered the US Army.
I visited Bill and Wilna several times over the years from my Denver, CO., Los Angeles, and Dallas. I treasured both. The last time I saw them was in maybe 1992(?) after driving from Dallas. I then relocated to Tucson, Arizona. Wonderful couple!
