Thomas, Lillian Grace Bugg

Lillian Grace Bugg Thomas, 71, of Radford, Va., passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011. She was a longtime member and organist at Friendship Baptist Church in Radford. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Watkins and Laura Roop Bugg; and her husband, James Albert Thomas. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and David Mercier, of Blacksburg, Barbara McDaniel, of Radford, and Wanda and Jan A. Graham, of Blacksburg; grandchildren and their spouses, Jonathan Mercier, James and Kelly McDaniel, Mary Lillian McDaniel, John Rosi McDaniel, Tiffany and Justin Sheppard, and Jaron Graham; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Starr Sheppard and Patrick Marchbanks; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances Wright, of Radford and Ophelia and Charlie Roop, of Waynesboro; and brothers and sister-in-law, Robert W. and Anita Bugg, of Pilot and William Bugg, of Dublin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor John Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
