Simpkins, Dorothy Luckado

Dorothy Luckado Simpkins, 62, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011. She was preceded in death by her father, George Keith Pelkey. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth C. Simpkins, of Christiansburg; daughter and special friend, April Simpkins and Caritha “Jerry” Byrd, of Christiansburg; three sons, Keith Simpkins, of Christiansburg, and Brian and Kevin Pelkey, both of Hiwassee; her mother, Dorothy Helen Pelkey, of Hiwassee; brother and sisterin-law, Allen and Katie Pelkey of Dublin; and a granddaughter, Taylor Ratcliffe. Funeral Services will be held 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, February 14, 2011, in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
