Layfield, Edward Morris
Edward Morris Layfield, 71, of Christiansburg, Va., died on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at his home. He was born in Clearwater, Fla., on November 23, 1939, to the later Elmer Morris and Virginia Satcher Layfield. He was a member of Sudan Shriners Temple, New Bern, N.C. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. He was a veteran serving in the United States Navy. He retired from Verizon after over 25 years of service. He most recently worked for Blacksburg Transit. He is survived by his wife, Linda G. Layfield; a son, Richard Layfield, of Fletcher, N.C.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Jan Garrett, of Blacksburg; and a granddaughter, April Michelle Tyson, of New Orleans, La. Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewayne Martin officiating. I would like to say with all the time gone by,if indeed you people were such church going God loving ,then why is my daughter Tara,witch is Richards daughter not mention at all.she is 33years old.you can’t tell me you did not know.you mention April ,but by far my daughter is the first.i will like to ask why.she was and always will be the baby your son forgot.and so did all of yous.but God did not forget.lies can be brought to life.if Virginia was such a great hugger why did you guys choise to decide to forget I will never know.she is my angel,and you never gave her a chance.go on with out even one truthful written in stone namesake.you missed out,and April is the only grandchild bull shit.i will be lookin in to my daughters rights to this family.i have all my evedince.and I will also be writing the church and man others.shame on all who try to bullshit threw life.and I have the very letter Virginia wrote me,telling me all about how she didn’t raise her kids to be that way.karma.if need be ,at least while you are alive maybe things can change in some ways.my daughters hearidage is at stake.5865767541if you ever get the courage to call.
