JENNINGS, Clarence Chester

Clarence Chester Jennings, 80, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord his Savior on Friday, September 29, 2006 at New River Valley Medical Center.

He was a charter member of Faith Christian Church, where he served as Elder and Trustee for many years. He was a lifetime member of Christiansburg Rescue Squad and a retired employee of Reed Lumber Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Vergie Jennings; also several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathleen Jennings and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the Horne Funeral Service. Funeral services will be Monday, October 2, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Mr. Clyde George and Mr. Jones Oliver with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
