Harris, Roger Dale

Roger Dale Harris, 66, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harles and Kate Harris.

Survivors include his wife, Violet Hall Harris, Gainesville, Fla.; two sons and daughter-in-law, Alan Harris, Ashburn, Va., Gary and Janet Harris, Roanoke, Va.; three stepsons and wives, Jamie Fisher, Gainesville, Fla., David and Brenda Fisher, Christiansburg, Va., Tony and Melissia Fisher, Defiance, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Debbie Harris, Ashburn, Va.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Katherine and Larry Zehner, Winder, Ga., Brenda and Douglas Higgs, Christiansburg, Va.; seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2005 at Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Willis, Va. with Elder Jay Harris, Elder Paul Williams and Dan Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, Va. is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to any Hospice.
