Wolfe, Mary E. Russell (Lorraine)
Mary E. “Lorraine” Russell Wolfe, 86 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 8th, 2011 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was born on March 22nd, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Millard Fillmore and Gussie Alva French Russell. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ray Wolfe; three children, Melvin Douglas Wolfe, Sharon Delores Wolfe, and Cheryl Regina Davies; a grandson, Jerome Taylor; and two brothers, Hubert Burns Russell and Stanley Ellsworth Russell. She was a faithful member of Williams Chapel Church of Christ in the Wolf Creek community of Bland County. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she always had a kind word to say, and will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Douglas S. Wolfe and wife Pamela of Bluefield, West Virginia, William R. Wolfe, Melinda Wolfe, Brian Wolfe, Kimberley R. Davies, Patrick Davies, Charles Poole, Jason Poole Genna Wolfe and Michael Taylor; several great-grandchildren including a special great-grandson, Michael Alec Farmer; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and many special friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 at 12 noon at Maple View Church of Christ in Bluefield, West Virginia with Tony Reed, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Dotson-Clark Cemetery on Wolf Creek Road near Narrows. The family will receive friends at Maple View Church of Christ Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
