Nance, John E.

John E. Nance, age 70, passed on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at his home in Ballard, WV. Born March 28, 1950, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Annie Ruth Carter Nance.

John worked construction and enjoyed hunting. He loved being in the woods with his dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Marty Nance.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Rose Mary Monahan Nance; and three sisters, Billie Jo Day, and Bonnie Huffman, both of Ballard, WV, and Pat Mann of Pearisburg, VA.

In keeping with John’s wishes, he will be cremated. Due to the regulations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, and out of love and respect for the family and friends, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
