Hall, Mary Ellen

Mary Ellen Hall, 46, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010. She was born on December 29, 1963 to the late Oakley Edward Hall Sr. and Elvira B. Hall. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Edward Hall Jr., and Paul David Hall; and sister, Nancy Brown. Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, John Calloway and Joseph; brother, Ralph Eugene Hall; sisters, Sue Mae Hall, Phyllis Hall and Tara Donovan; nieces, Linda Gail Brown, Patricia Christine Phillips, Carolyn Jean Garlic, and Vicki Mae Garlic; nephews, Jackson Donovan, Brandon Musick, Samuel Musick, and D.J. Hoffner; and sisters-in-law, Melinda Musick and Brenda Taylor. Mary Ellen passed away peacefully at home after losing a battle with breast cancer. She will be missed, but never forgotten, and always loved by her family and friends. She was a remarkable person who brought joy to all our lives. She was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter and friend. There will not be services for Mary Ellen. She made the decision to donate her body to science. Her greatest wish is for science to find a cure for the type of cancer she had, and with her sacrifice, we are sure it will benefit humankind. We will all miss her very much.
