Edwards, Margaret H.
Margaret H. Edwards, 84, of Radford, left her earthly home to reside in her heavenly home, September 11, 2006.
She was born in Tazewell, December 31, 1921, the daughter of the late J. Everett Harry and Sallie Crawford Beavers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Edwards; a daughter, Betty Edwards; and a son, James Edwards; along with two sons-in-law, Robert Wilson and Nelson Hungate. She was a loving mother and friend. She was better known as Granny to her friends and neighbors.
Surviving are three daughters and one son-in-law, Susan and Berley Dalton, and Brenda Wilson, Radford and Peggy Hungate, Salem; five grandchildren and spouses, Stormie and Harold Wilson, Winder, Ga., Bobby Joe and Amy Wilson, Wytheville, Travis and Jessie Dalton, Radford, Eddie Love, Blacksburg, Jamie Rose and Arlis Hungate, Shawsville; six great-grandchildren, Breanna Love, Alex and Alexis Wilson, Wytheville, and Michael, Robert and Matthew Wilson, Georgia; also six step grandchildren, Mary, Tammy and Ralph Dalton, Velene Odell, David Hungate and Nicky Pridemore.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Highland Memory Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Powell ad the Rev. Ralph Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Montgomery County Humane Society, because momma really loved her Princess. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.
