Dillon, Wanda Graves
Wanda Graves Dillon of Blacksburg, Va., departed this life Sunday, November 14, 2010. She was born on December 28, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Graves. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Graves. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William “Sonny” Dillon. She was a loving wife, a caring mother, and avid golfer, and a talented seamstress. Her many friends, old and new, were very important to her. Although she lived in Blacksburg all her life, in retirement she and Sonny traveled extensively throughout the country. Some of the best moments of her life were motor homing with Sonny, looking for the next great golf course. Left behind to mourn her passing are her husband; her three daughters and their husbands, Deni Dillon and Kamal Rojiani, Pamela Huvar and Donald Huvar, Cathy Alcorn and Rick Alcorn; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and two brothers and their wives, Eddie Jo and Roswitha Graves, and Sam and Vi Graves. Her family would like to thank the nurses of both Heritage Hall and Showalter Center for their thoughtful, attentive care. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy McDearis officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
