Byrd, Alma Odell

Alma Odell Byrd, 86, of Pulaski went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her home. She will be truly missed. She was born in Pulaski County on January 3, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Luther Odell and Effie Odell. She was retired from Jefferson Mills and was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving are:

Loving Husband – Garnett D. Byrd, Pulaski

Sister – Ruby Newsome, Salem

Cousins – Darlene and Carol of Pulaski

Brothers-In-Law – LeRoy, Donald, Arnold, Bobby and Ronald

Sister-In-Law – Marie Byrd

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18th at 2:00 PM from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor Josh Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be at the funeral home where the family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Flowers will be appreciated, however if someone is wishing to make a memorial, they can be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, Clark St., Pulaski, VA 24301.
