Carcreff, Eugene Pierre
Eugene Pierre Carcreff, 96, of Christiansburg passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018. He was born April 2, 1922 in Ploerdut, France to the late Marie and Joseph Carcreff. In addition, was preceded by a brother, Raymond; three sisters, Maria, Cecile, and Pauline; and a son-in-law, Michael Cadou.
He was a proud veteran of World War II as well as a veteran of the Indochina (Vietnam) War. He served in the French Navy on board the Battleship Richelieu from 1939 to 1946. He immigrated to the United States in 1946 to marry the love of his life, Marie La Goff.
In 1954, he became a proud United States citizen. They resided in New Jersey from 1946 until 2017. Mr. Carcreff was employed with Hoffman LaRoche for 32 years until his retirement in 1884.
Mr. Carcreff was a very devoted family man and an avid gardener. He enjoyed bicycle racing, soccer, traveling, and storytelling. Was past President of AARP, Chapter 1517 of Clifton, N.J. In addition, past President of the St. Jude Senior Club of Hardyston, N.J.
Surviving are his loving wife, Maria; brother, Alphonse; daughters, Annette Holley and husband, Jim, Denise Cadou, and Jeannine Costa and husband Gary; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday May 11, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday May 12, 2018 at the funeral home.
