Linkous, Robert Wiley

Robert Wiley Linkous, age 80, of Blacksburg, died, Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, VA on August 4, 1939 to the late Ward and Mary Lefew Linkous.

He is survived by his wife, Mary M. Linkous; daughters and sons-in-law, Gale and Ray Helmick, Lisa and Bruce Estes, Debbie and Randall Smith; son, Michael Linkous (Jonnie); fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Viola Norfleet; brother, Buddy Linkous; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice caregivers, Brooke Priest, RN and Kathy Waddell, CNA and special caregiver, Gay Fowler.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help offset expenses.
