Foster, Loretta Ashley

Loretta A. Foster passed away on July 30,2010, in Pensacola, Fla. She was born on August 18, 1943, in Christiansburg, Va., to the late Frank and Ruth Ashley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. (Chris) Foster; infant son, James; and brother, David R. Ashley. Left to cherish her memories are two brothers, Lowell E. Ashley, of Washington, D.C., and Kenneth E. and Jean Ashley, of Roanoke, Va.; stepmother, Irene Ashley, of Prices Fork, Va.; two nephews, Greg and Jeanette Ashley, and Jason Ashley, of Roanoke, Va.; four greatnephews; two great-nieces; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a very special friend, Jenny Childress. She also leaves her church family, Open Door Baptist Church of Pensacola, Fla.; and the Reverend Bill and Bea Smith. She and her husband moved to Pensacola, Fla., 17 years ago. Loretta was a very talented seamstress and had a heart brighter than gold. She will be missed by family and friends forever. Memorial Service will be held 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Prices Fork United Methodist Church by the Reverend Debra Copeland. The family will receive friends one hour before services.
