Haines, Juanita Davis

Juanita Davis Haines, 89, of Radford, Va., passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. She was a member of Fairlawn Presbyterian Church and retired from East Tennessee Gas Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Nannie Pannell Davis; husband, Francis Allen Haines; and a son, Sherwood Haines. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Imogene Haines and James Hixon, of Radford; four grandchildren and their spouses, Pam and Tommy Witten and Robert Hixon, all of Radford, Steve and Carmen Haines, of Riner, and William Haines of Christiansburg; a greatgrandson, Scott Witten, of Radford; and a daughter-inlaw, Judy Haines, of Radford. The family would like to thank Dr. Tauro, the staff at Carilion NRV Medical Center, Carilion Hospice, Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Nurse Finders and all our family and friends for their support our loving care during Juanita’s illness. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2010, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Terry Woodard officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Flowers will be appreciated or contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Carilion Hospice.
