Dalton, Cosne Nievre

Mr. Cosne Nievre Dalton, 90, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center, Pulaski. He was born in Giles County, Va., on May 23, 1920, and was the son of the late Ernest and Ethel Martin Dalton. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Stella Wallner; and his brother, Ernest Dalton Jr.

A long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Pulaski, Cosne was also a veteran of World War II and was involved in many clubs and organizations; Moose, Elks, Shriners, Masons, American Legion, and the VFW, are but a few.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Kathleen Dalton; sister, Kalima Tate; children, Betty Sue Justice, and Phillip Umansky; grandchildren, Paul, Dale and Scott Ferguson; as well as many other family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, October 4, 2010, from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hugh Kilgore, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski, officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the service to follow at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Refreshments will be offered afterward at the First United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Scott Ferguson, Adam Ferguson, Bob McKinney, Alfred Morton, Steven Saltz and Bill Tate.
