clyburn_bobby-vBobby V. Clyburn, 82, of Glen Lyn, Va., passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Springfield Center after a long illness. He was born on November 22, 1927, in Kellysville, W.Va. to the late Samuel W. and Savannah Brown Davis Clyburn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene A. Clyburn, Samuel W. Clyburn Jr. and Glenn A. Clyburn. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War ll. He worked for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad retiring in 1987. Bobby enjoyed life; he loved to travel to places including Atlantic City, New Jersey and Myrtle Beach, S.C. Bobby loved to play cards especially at the Moose Lodge in Princeton, where he was a member. Bobby is survived by his children, Stephanie Broyles and husband, Johnny, of Ballard, W.Va., Eric Clyburn and wife, Diane (Smith), of Rich Creek; grandsons, Shaun Broyles, of Princeton, W.Va., and Andrew Clyburn and wife, Kristina Rainey-Clyburn, of Fort Lewis, Wash.; a greatgrandchild, Wyatt Clyburn; stepgrandchildren, Melanie, Robbie and Shannon Pyne; stepgreatgrandchildren, Elijah, Ethan, Colton, Hunter and Chase; a brother, Otis Clyburn, of Beckley, W.Va.; a sister, Phyllis Candler, of Kellysville; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
