Deitz, Mark William
Mark William Deitz, 58, of Narrows, VA, departed this life Tuesday morning, February 12, 2019 at his home. Born in Albany, NY on June 2, 1960, he was a son of the late Ivan Alfred and Roseanne Nancy Martin Deitz.
He was a veteran of the US Navy (SEALS) and had been employed as a caregiver.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Diane Shapiro Deitz; his son and daughter-in-law TJ Lavigne and Annie Seguin of Renessaer, NY; his daughter Ashley Lavigne of NY; his brothers Al Deitz of Pottsdam, NY, Ivan Deitz of Richmond, VA and Chris Deitz of Delmar, NY; his sisters Dolores Andres and husband Jerry of Pottsdam, NY, and Shelly Deitz of NY; and his granddaughter Sophie Marie Lavigne.
Burial and memorial services will be announced at a later date in a military cemetery in NY. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke, VA is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com

dear diane & ashley , today victor & I just found out from a friend of vic’s that mark passed away we are so very sorry. mark was very supportive concerning our Precious Eric & I am very grateful for that. mark is a caring understanding person. wish we would have known so we could have been there for you. 💔💔Eric , lisa , victor savage.
