Lilly, Robert William

Robert William Lilly, 63, of the Clendennin Community near Narrows, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday evening August 20, 2006 in the loving care of his family at his home.

Born at Norcross in Giles County on May 5, 1943 he was a son of the late Albert Perry and Dorothy Pauline Kast Lilly. He was a member of Bethel Chapel Church in Clendennin and was retired from Goodyear Rubber Mix Plant in Radford and was preceded in death by a sister Sally Lilly Martin.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 42 years, Dorothy Knight Lilly; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert W. Lilly Jr. and Della of Lindside, W.Va., Edward Keith Lilly and Jennifer of Pearisburg, Timmie Wayne Lilly and Cheryl of Narrows; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dottie M. and Gary Maxey of Narrows, Drema S. and Robby McNeill of Pearisburg, Frances Louise and Mitch Belcher of Narrows; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert Gerald and wife, Wanda C. Lilly of Lindside, W.Va.; eight sisters, Hilda and Lacy Tolbert of Blacksburg, Josie Bates of Los Vegas, Nev., Orva Bables of Palmdale, Calif., Betsy Hudgins and Robert of Richmond, Reba Wilson and Penn of Eden, N.C., Rebecca Sutphin and Dale of Pearisburg, Mamie Bailey and Ron of Eden, N.C., Kyrthyna and Tom Audio of Mt. Iron, Minn.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Bethel Chapel Church in Clendennin with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Kast-Sanders Cemetery at Goldbond.
