Bell, Jacqueline Hale

Jacqueline (Jackie) Hale Bell, 81, of Copper Hill went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 23, 2018. She was born to the late Crettie and Sim Hale of Bent Mountain. She was the youngest of eight children, which preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her loving husband of 52 years, Moyer Agee Bell.

She is survived by two sons and spouses, Tommy (Judy) and Terry (Lesha) Bell; grandson, Joey Bell, all of Floyd; special friend and caregiver, Lavern Beaver, who brought Ms. Jackie much joy and laughter in the last several months of her life.

She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Jackie was well known for her love of cooking of which she specialized in making delicious cakes and goodies. It was her opinion that all meals needed to start with desserts. She worked for many bakery/deli’s from Roanoke to Floyd through the years. Jackie also had a love for animals big and small.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Oakey’s South Chapel on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Rest Vale Cemetery, Copper Hill, VA. Arrangements by Oakey’s South Chapel. 540-989-3131
