Parker, Nathaniel A.

Nathaniel A. Parker, 88, of Blacksburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 18, 2006 at Pulaski Health Care Center. He was a retired employee of Poly Scientific retiring as a supervisor with 27 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Nat lived on a farm and enjoyed organic gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Eloise Parker of Blacksburg; daughter, Bonnie Ann Parker of Hillsville; four brothers; and many extended family members. Memorial services will be held Sunday, August 19, 2006, 7 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Christiansburg, with Rev. Monroe Hedrick officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at Trinity Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Trinity Baptist Church, (Missions), P.O. Box 787, Christiansburg, VA 24068.
