Reed, Ralph Wilson

Ralph Wilson Reed, 87, of Christiansburg, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018. Ralph was a 40+ year member of the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, both active member and lifetime member, and was an Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton Wyatte and Juanita Wilson Reed; special aunt, Kathleen ‘Menome’ Myers; and cousin, Joyce Via. Ralph is survived by his loving and devoted wife and caretaker, Nany Lahman Reed; daughters, Kathy Jo R. Bell and Debra Reed; grandchildren, Andrew Bell, Hannah Price and husband Tyler, Matthew Wilson Bales, Timothy Bell; great-grandchild, Henry Price; ex-son-in-law, Steve Bell; special cousin, Tommy Myers; as well as two special friends, Kelly Walters and Grover Nixon.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.

The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care for their compassionate care over the last few years.
