Doss, Jr., William Kenneth
William Kenneth (Bill) Doss, Jr., 71, of Dublin, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his home. He was born October 4, 1946 at Damascus, VA, the son of the late William, Sr. & Floy Osborne Doss.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He attended Goshen United Methodist Church. He loved his family and enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors and enjoyed farming, hunting & fishing and planting flowers.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Marie Underwood Doss; his sons & daughters-in-law, William (“Ken”), III, & Becky Doss and Clifton L. & Charlotte Doss; his grandchildren, William Kenneth, IV, & Ashley Doss, Hunter Doss and Tyler Doss; his great-granddaughters, Kylie Nicole Doss and Aubree Jade Doss; one brother, Charles Doss; one sister & brother-in-law, Donna & Carl Anderson; two special aunts, Wanda and Wilma; his mother-in-law, Velma S. Perdue; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary & Billy Tallant, Ellen & Henry Dowdy, Martha & Buck Gunter and Melinda Goodwin; several nieces, nephews and cousins, too many to list.
Funeral services will be held for Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 3:30P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Rev. Linda Hale officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until service time 3:30 P.M. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Bland American Legion Post #20 and Bland VFW Post #7969.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Bill’s honor to Shriner’s Children Hospitals, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL, 33607,(1-844-739-0849), donate.lovetotherescue.org.

I am so sorry for your loss, I never met your father, but I know he had to be a great man to have a son as dear and kind as you are. Their are no words that help us at this time except just know in your heart that we love and care for you and your family. If I can do anything please let me know.
