Lester, Davis “Junior”

Davis “Junior” Lester, 86, of Belspring, passed away early Sunday morning, May 20, 2018. He was born on August 29, 1931 to the late John Davis and Cora Duncan Lester. He retired from the Radford Pipe Shop where he worked as a machinist. He was a loving husband and a devoted father.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Betty Jo Lester; his sons, Ronland L. Lester, Donald R. Lester, Stephen W. (Lisa) Lester, and Todd K. Lester; her sisters, Goldie Nester and Judy (James) Thurman; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank their special neighbors, Basil and Sue Newberry for all of their help and kindness during this time.

The family will receive friends at the West Radford Church of God on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 1 to 2 p.m. Funeral Services will follow directly after with the Reverend Jim Walker and Pastor Danny Newman officiating. Interment will be at Sunrise Burial Park in Fairlawn. DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford is in charge of arrangements.
