Hardymon, Maggie Lena

Maggie Lena Hardymon, 73, of Christiansburg, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at New River Valley Medical Center. She was born in Giles County, Virginia on May 2, 1937 to the late Price and Lucille Williams Collins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Red) Albert Hardymon, Jr. She is survived by her stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Ron and Sandra Hardymon, of Dublin, and Doug and Nancy Hardymon, of Parrott; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a niece, Mary Lang, of Roanoke, and a nephew, Joseph Collins, of Narrows; special friends Ann Grubb and Colleen Caldwell. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 4 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jonathan Webster officiating. Private burial will be held Monday, June 21, 2010 in the Highland Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
