Ratcliff, Elsie Akers

The heart of our family, Elsie Akers Ratcliff, 86, of Elliston, Va., died on Thursday, June 10, 2010, a daughter of the late George and Eliza Bowles Akers.

She is survived by three daughters and sonin-law, Velma McGuire, Darlene McGuire, and Teresa and Jimmie Roop, all of Christiansburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Darlene Ratcliff, Kenny and Vickie Ratcliff, and Larry Ratcliff, all of Ironto; a brother, Sherman Akers, of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Jimmy McGuire, Carolyn and Chad McGuire, and Ricky Ratcliff; and six greatgrandchildren.

Graveside Services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2010, in the Reesedale Cemetery, Ironto with the Rev. Wallace Yopp officiating. Friends may call anytime after noon on Saturday, June 12, 2010, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg, Va.
