Curtis, Donald Ray

Donald Ray Curtis, 79, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010. He was born September 18, 1930, in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Lonnie and Evelyn Curtis. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jim Curtis. He served his country in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Belmont Christian Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Freda Long Curtis; daughter, Jennifer Lynnette Curtis; brothers, Paul Curtis and wife, Jean, and Billy Curtis and wife, Faye; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice for their care and support. The family would also like to suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Belmont Christian Church Vision Fund or Carilion Hospice. A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at 4 p.m. at Belmont Christian Church with Jerry Dowdy officiating.
