Farmer, Walter Edward

Walter Edward Farmer, 86, of Pulaski, Va., died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in the Veterans Hospital, Salem, Va. Walter was born December 17, 1931 in Pulaski, Va. and was the son of the late William Lowery Farmer and Betsy Ann Anderson Farmer. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Luke E Cook. Walter was the sixth of nine children.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 16, 2017 at 1 p.m. from the Dora Highway Baptist Church with Pastor Harry Lee Gunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, Va. Visiting will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel where the family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Walter’s name to the Dora Highway Baptist Church.
