Webb, Sylvia Duncan

Sylvia Lee Duncan Webb, age 99, of Blacksburg went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. When God created mothers he blessed us with her. Prov. 31:28: “Her children shall arise and call her blessed”.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude S. Webb; and her parents, Verlie Peck and Mirtha Elizabeth McPherson Duncan. She is survived by her son, David (Betty Jean) Webb; daughters, Loretta Folb, Linda (Melvin) Miller, Brenda Grant; eleven grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to her loving caregivers at Heritage Hall, Blacksburg in particular nurse Bobbie, “the best of the rest.”

The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Blacksburg Christian Church with a funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary McCoy officiating.
