VIET, John Howard

John Howard Viet, 50, of Flanagan Avenue, Dublin, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Born December 26, 1955 in Quonset Point, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Ben Donald and Mary Carroll Tofft Viet.

He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, and was employed with Volvo-North America Trucks, Dublin with 25 years of service. He was greatly loved and will be missed by his wife, his sons, his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Julie Ann Fannon Viet, Dublin; sons, Aaron Viet and wife, Melissa, Roanoke, Adam Viet, Dublin; brother, David C. Viet and wife, Tammy, Draper; sisters ,Susan M. Viet, Steamboat Springs, Colo., Barbara A. Garcia, Grand Junction, Colo.

A memorial service will be held Monday evening at 6 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Daniel Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until service hour at the funeral home. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements.
