Trail, Margaret L.

Margaret L. Trail, of Pulaski passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Farley E. Trail Sr.; her mother, Madge Craig Thompson and father, and Clarence Cecil Thompson.

Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. Margaret was always kind to people and ready to invite them in for a cup of coffee. She enjoyed a life of happiness and faced even the tough times with laughter and optimism. As well as having five children of her own, Margaret worked as an in-home childcare provider for years. She was much loved by all her children. She had the added joy of being instrumental in raising her seven grandchildren. Margaret enjoyed crafts, especially crochet and plastic canvas. There was always a baby blanket ready when she heard of an impending birth and many of her crafts were donated for fund-raising purposes.

She is survived by her children, Farley Emery Trail, Jr. and his wife, Lynn, Mark E. Trail, Samuel F. Trail, H. Elizabeth Hurst and her husband, David, and John D. Trail and his wife, Carol; grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Shane, Jonathan, Melissa, Margaret, and David; her brother, Sonny Thompson and his wife, Margaret; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family The family is very appreciative of the care and caring staff at her final home, River View on the Appomattox in Hopewell.
