Collins, Nancy Morehead

Nancy Morehead Collins, 87, of Dublin, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017. She was born on August 24, 1930 to the late Glenn K. and Fannie L. Morehead. She served for nearly thirty years as a judges’ secretary for the Radford City Circuit Court System. She was also a long-life, active member of Dublin United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, George M. Collins and her brothers, Ryland “Buzz” and George “Kay” Morehead. She is survived by her sisters, Jean Ann Davidson and Bernice Gayle Hanks; her son, Michael (Eva) Collins; her daughters, Pamela (David) Clark and Lisa (Jeff) Gander; her grandchildren, Kevin “Joe” Collins, Christy Herndon, Gabrielle Collins, Maddie Clark, and Evan Clark; and six great-grand children.

The family will receive friends on Friday January 5, 2018 from 10 a.m. to noon at Dublin United Methodist Church with a memorial service to be held at noon. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, those desiring are encouraged to make memorial contributions to the Cheerful Adults Senior Group at Dublin United Methodist Church, 424 East Main Street, Dublin, VA 24084. DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford is in charge of arrangements.
