Dodson, Connie Jean

Cornelia “Connie” Jean Dodson from the Poplar Hill Community passed on December 26th, 2017. She was the daughter of her wonderful parents, the late Aubrey and Irene Parcell Dodson.

Connie is survived by her only sister, Sue Dodson-Walker and husband Gary; her niece Dommetae Robertson Sohrabi and husband Ben; her great nephew Tyler Jarrells and great niece Brittney Jarrells Songer and husband Justin; and their daughter Marlee Songer; and Connie’s nephews, Samuel Robertson living in Costa Mesa, California and James “Jay” Robertson and wife, Marina, living in Shanghai, China.

Connie was fortunate to have many friends who were very important to her.

She always had huge respect for all of God’s creatures and created a sanctuary called Dodson Farm Animal Sanctuary, which is privately owned and not a public sanctuary.

Per her wishes, she has been cremated. Connie requested no service of any form.

Hopefully when you think of Connie, you will do so with a smile.
