Farmer, Imogene DeHart

Imogene DeHart Farmer, 90, of Copper Valley, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. She was born on January 25, 1927 to the late Mr. and Mrs. George C. DeHart, Sr. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Oakley J. Farmer; four brothers, Leon A. DeHart, Sr. of Newport News, William L. DeHart, Sr. of Radford, George C. DeHart, Jr. of Charlottesville, and Aaron Wyatt DeHart of Copper Valley; and a sister, Dr. Olga D. Harvill, of Copper Valley. She is survived by her four nephews, L.A. DeHart II, David L. DeHart, Dr. Ronald Vaughn, and Dr. Dennis Vaughn; her sister-in-law, Louise and her husband Ronald Vaughn of Pulaski; and her six nieces, Janice D. Kibler and her husband Bill of Newport News, Sandra D. Jefferson of New Bern, N.C., Barbara D. Scheuerle of Winter Park, Fla., Gail H. Surber and her husband, John of San Antonio, Texas, and Donna D. Osbourne and her husband, Charles of Hot Springs, Ark. Imogene worked as a medical technician in the clinical and x-ray labs of Radford Community Hospital. She retired from the medical department of Hercules Powder Company in Radford. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford is in charge of arrangements.
