Bradley Sr., James Theodore
James Theodore (Nook) Bradley Sr., 83, of Pearisburg, Va., passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, Va., following a long illness. He was born on July 5, 1926, and was the son of the late Martin and Ruth Bradley of Rich Creek, Va. He was retired from Radford Army Ammunition Plant where he had worked for 37 years. He enjoyed spending his time working on old cars. He also liked to swap and trade and had many trading buddies. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Mullins, of Rich Creek. Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Zellwood Bradley, of Pearisburg; five children, Donnie Bradley and wife, Sue, of Rich Creek, Connie Spicer and husband, Jetty, of Carrollton, Va., James (Skipper) Bradley Jr., and wife, Diane, of Pearisburg, Ruth Ann Moore and husband, David, of Ripplemead, and Teena Johnson and husband, Chris, of Staffordsville; brotherin-law, Robert Mullins, of Rich Creek; eight grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg, Va., by the Rev. J. Carl Rouintree, the Rev. Greg Cox, and the Rev. Doug Hyndrich. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010, at Givens Funeral Home.
