Hussey, Marie Shaffer

Marie Shaffer Hussey, 83, of Radford, Va., passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gardner Hussey; by her parents, Basil and Lola Godby Shaffer; by two brothers, Charles and Jessie Shaffer; and two sisters, June Shaffer Duncan and Pauline Shaffer Ayers. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Stephanie Hussey, of Radford, William and Julia Duncan, of Marion, and Richard Bragg, of Appleton, Wis.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelby and Andy Farmer, of Fairlawn, and Burma and Leon Smith, of Portsmouth; and several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor William Ratcliffe officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service. Flowers will be appreciated or contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
